Toolmaking:

We design and build both multi-stage progressive and single stroke press tools up to x1000mm y600mm z(to specification). We can manufacture tooling based on clients drawings, reverse engineer from existing components and design tools for the production of specific items from original concept drawings. We have over 50 years experience in toolmaking and the design & manufacture of presstools which means that our customers are guaranteed high quality results.

Progressive Presswork:

Since 1996 we have increased our presswork capacity from 40 tons to 120 tons and also increased our handling, storage and sub-assembly areas.

As a profitable press work company we have focussed on the need for specials, either detailed work or small volume from which we can move on to offering larger volume services.

CNC Wire Eroded Components:

We have been using wire erosion for machining precision components since the late 1960's. Most of our wire erosion work has been for the aerospace, electronics and automotive industries although we also carry out wire erosion for toolmakers involved with both plastic injection, rubber moulding and metal casting. We operate our wire eroders around the clock which gives us extended capacity on our 3 primary machines one of which was brand new in November 2005.

Presswork:

We have years of experience in the production of pressed components for industry sectors such as aerospace and electronics.

We can work in a range of material types and thickness including copper and brass, using single stroke or progressive tooling and offer a range of finishes including zinc plating and anodising. We cater for both specialist small batch presswork for prototypes and trial runs as well as high volume production work.

Machining:

Equipped with the latest in CNC milling and a comprehensive machine room we offer general machining services for items upto 500kg. Much of the machining we do is as a compliment to an existing wire erosion, spark erosion or presswork job. We also offer a range of finishes as part of our one stop service.

Assembly Work:

We press and assemble units such as this power station switch. Items such as this require a broad range of metalworking skills including EDM, machining, presswork, tapping, finishing and final assembly. We provide assembly work services for both low volume specialist assemblies as well as high volume assemblies for direct shipment to an assembly lines.

Insertions:

We handle inserts and fastenings were required including self tapping, press fit, anti-creep spacers, self clinching fasteners, rivets, bushes, sheetnuts, weld fasteners and cagenuts as well as specials.

Painted & Screen Printed Components:

Where required we provide finishing using local providers. We have well established relationships with powder coaters, electroplaters, chemical converters and silk screen printers and can satisfy any need as part of our one stop service.
